Chai Collagen Spice Bar Recipe

 

We can't get enough of the sweet spices in this recipe - there's something about Chai flavours that are so cosy in winter! These Chai Collagen Spice Bars are perfect for a delicious snack on the run or to fill that 3pm void in your stomach. It's a great way of getting your daily dose of collagen in as well!


Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Noode Vanilla Marine Collagen
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup oats - or almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup soften dates
  • 1/4 cup nut butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
Topping

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil

Method:

Place everything except topping ingredients into a food processor and blend
until all the ingredients have combined together and a dough has formed. Have a taste and adjust the spices if needed – add more cinnamon to your liking. Place in a lined pan and put in the fridge while you make the topping.

Melt the dark chocolate with the coconut oil. I fusing the microwave, blast for 30 secs – 1 minute, making sure to take out and mix every 20 seconds. Pour over the base and spread until the base is completely covered with the chocolate mixture.
Place back in the fridge overnight, cut into bars and enjoy!!
