We see product formulation as a responsibility - an agreement between us and our customers that we'll make products that do what they say, contain what we say they do, and are safe for you and your family to use.
Here's how every Noode product actually gets made, from the ingredients we choose to the people we trust to check the result.
Our ingredients come from all over the world. While New Zealand has a reputation as one of the cleanest and highest quality producers, we don't do everything, and some countries do certain products or ingredients better. Whether it's climate related or for nutritional value, we source the best ingredients from the best sources.
Our pea protein comes from Canada, our marine collagen comes from France, and a lot of what goes into Super Greens, like the kale and broccoli powder, is grown right here in New Zealand. Wherever an ingredient starts out, every Noode product is formulated, tested and blended here in New Zealand.

We're not food scientists, and we're not going to pretend we are. Our recipes are put together by an independent formulation expert, someone whose whole job is getting the science of a supplement right. What goes into every Noode product is decided by someone qualified to decide it, not by us guessing. Our formulator makes sure that everything meets regulatory standards (or in many cases go above and beyond those minimum requirements) - our business is built on building relationships and actively maintaining standards that our customers can trust.
Once a recipe is finalised, the ingredients are sourced and sent to our contract blender, Brand Nation - located in Kumeu, Auckland. The facility our products are blended in is also MPI certified and audited.
Every part of that chain – sourcing, formulating and blending - is handled by someone who is a trusted expert. That's the whole approach - it's better for you and its better for Noode as a whole in the long term.
Noode is registered under National Programme 1 (NP1), part of New Zealand Food Safety's framework under the Food Act 2014. In practice, that means we follow set rules around where our ingredients come from, how we store and transport our products, correct labelling, allergen information and what to do if something ever goes wrong, and we're verified by an independent, MPI-recognised verifier to prove we're doing it properly.
On top of our NP1 registration, we send our products for independent third-party testing, including screening for heavy metals. We use Eurofins for this as they are a globally recognised expert in the testing space.
Even though we've built strong relationships with our suppliers over the last 10 years, we still test each batch to be sure, as part of our responsibility to you (plus it's nice for peace of mind!).
Every product we make goes through the same process: sourced by people who know ingredients, formulated by people who know nutrition, blended by people who know manufacturing, and checked by people who don't work for us. We're not telling you this because it's trending, we're telling you because it's the right thing to do, and we think you deserve to know.
